Light of Mercy Home

The Light of Mercy Home (LMH) provides children with disabilities a home and center where they can attend school and live together with other children who have similar challenges. LHM not only supports them to re- ceive formal education, but also provides other extracurricular activities such as extra classes to learn music, dancing, computer skills and simple craft skills. Through the care and activities provided, LMH aims to prepare them to lead an independent life.

Children who cannot see have better hearing than others. And they have an extraordinary ability to remember what they have heard. Thanks to this ability, they are able to learn English at a rapid pace. Thus, LHM is investing more time to the teaching of English since English can be a valuable possession for these children.

Children who cannot hear have skills for writing, drawing or physical activities. They communicate actively with sign language and gestures. Through the care and activities provided which are tailored to the needs of each child, LMH aims to prepare them to lead an independent life.
